Arriving Adelaide- finally
What a frantic packing!
Initially, we only managed to buy Wife's air ticket - departing on 5th April 2021. We had even discussed the trip of sending her to airport. Picking up the children in school, had lunch while on the way to airport and leaving her at KLIA Departure Hall. I would be taking care of everything else while waiting for our May departing flight to Adelaide.
With 72 hours to go, on 2nd April 2021, I told Wife that we could change our flight itinerary. On the same flights with hers. There was a frozen moment. Wife said not to be panic. We could solve everything. Telling the landlord that we would be leaving the keys to her. Getting the Australian Declaration done. Telling the school teachers that the boys would be not be coming to school anymore. Going to school to pass all their textbooks. Getting Covid 19 tests done in BP lab Kepong. Getting the results back the next day. Sending off ALL the bulky furnitures. Sending the bicycles, washing machine, cabinet, gas cyclinder, boxes of toys, kitchen appliances, stove to my brother's place. And thousands of other things to do!
By 11.30a.m. on our departure day, the car transfer specialist was checking our Toyota Sienta. And off he went with our beloved Sienta back to Miri. By 2 p.m., I called Travelflex to ask his whereabouts as he would be sending us to airport. Alas, he had forgotten our appointment. With the clock ticking, I went down to Subway to get my family some food to bite. By 2.45pm. the condo security guard gave me another fright. The transport was not allowed into the condo to pick up our 13 luggages. We took another 15 minutes just to roll all the luggages to the guard post. Boy, was my heart rates beating hard!

| Goodbye Selayang 18 - Master room (05.04.2021) |
Our Silkair plane departed earlier to Singapore. We were quickly ushered to the 'holding hall' upon arrival and escorted to another departure hall. By midnight, we were relieved to be in SQ279. Sipping Singapore Sling. Delicious.
The sunrise was beautiful. I was in between stuporness. The plane landed without any glitch. We were finally in Adelaide. Our new adventure. We passed the Immigration Counter and bags checking hall without any issues, escorted to a bus and we were brought to The Playford, MGallery by Sofitel. 120 North Terrace, Adelaide, a 5 star hotel.
